How it works

Instead of adding questions one by one, you can describe the form you want in plain English. SignalForm's AI will generate a complete form with appropriate field types, titles, descriptions, and options — ready to preview and publish.

Generating a form

1. From the dashboard, click Generate with AI.
2. In the modal, describe the form you want to create. Be as specific as you like — mention the purpose, audience, and any particular fields you need.
3. Click Generate. The AI will create the form and redirect you to the editor.
4. Review and adjust the generated questions. You can rename, reorder, add, or remove fields just like any other form.

Writing a good prompt

The prompt field accepts up to 1,000 characters. More detail produces better results. Here are some examples:

• "Customer feedback survey for an online bookstore. Ask about order experience, delivery speed, product quality, and likelihood to recommend. Include a comment box at the end."
• "Employee onboarding form. Collect name, department, start date, emergency contact, dietary restrictions, and t-shirt size."
• "Event registration for a tech conference. Ask for name, email, company, job title, which sessions they want to attend, and any accessibility requirements."

Plan limits

AI form generation is available on all plans. Free accounts include 3 AI generations per month. Paid plans include additional generations — see the pricing page for details.

If you've reached your limit, you'll see an error message when trying to generate. You can still create forms manually at any time.

Tips

• Mention specific field types if you have a preference (e.g. "use a dropdown for department").
• Include the number of questions you want if you have a target length.
• Generated forms are fully editable — use AI to get a head start, then fine-tune in the editor.
• If the result isn't quite right, try rephrasing your prompt with more detail.
